IC-Health also focuses on patients with diabetes at ISPAD 2017
In the last few weeks, IC-Health partners have been very busy dissemination as much as possible the work that is being carried all across Europe to improve digital health literacy among citizens, and that is great news.
Barbara Piccini from Meyer Children’s Hospital in Italy has participated and represented the IC-Health consortium at the 43rd Annual Conference of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes. The conference, which was held in Innsbruck between 18th October and 21st October 2017, was organised by the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD).
The conference, which focused on diabetes research and care, aimed to spread knowledge on up-to-date data related to diabetes clinical care and research, both at clinical and at molecular level, and to debate about epidemiology, etiology and pathogenesis of diabetes diversity focusing on prevention diagnostic and therapeutic tools. ISPAD 2017 was a paper-free conference with no printed final program and no bag and, with more than 1400 attendees, has been one of the most successful ISPAD Conferences to date.
The conference was an ideal event during which to share more information about IC-Health. Barbara presented a printed poster, which included general information about the project and the next steps.
